AVENGER
II GAUGE
The Avenger series of gauges consists of three gauges that were initially designed for use on snowmobiles. Each gauge has a unique look and set of capabilities of it’s own.
Avenger
II
The
look of the Avenger II may have changed in comparison to the Avenger I, but
it still contains all the same features, plus more. The gauge now contains
two display screens housed in an extruded aluminum case, which can be mounted
on either the dash or the handlebars. The dual screens allow you to view both
an RPM and a temperature channel concurrently.
With
this gauge you can monitor the engine RPM and three exhaust gas temperatures,
or two EGT’s and one other thermocouple temperature channel (water, oil, or
cylinder head temperature). You can even purchase an option that permits a
second RPM function to be monitored (jackshaft or driveshaft). All sensors
must be purchased separately.
The
Avenger II will store up to 25 seconds of data that can be replayed on the
gauge’s screens, and this can be upgraded to 3 1/2 minutes. A programmable
warning light that alerts you when any channel has exceeded its limit is also
available. A thumb switch allows you to scroll between channels on the display
screens while on the fly. The gauge is backlit for nighttime riding, and it
will operate down to –40°F.
The
lighting coil provides power for the gauge, but a rechargeable NiCad battery
will provide replay operation long after the vehicle has been turned off.
