V-NET CABLES & ACCESSORIES

V-Net Cables
V-Net cables are the links
that tie a V-Net system together. When the modules for the individual V-Net
sensors cannot be connected directly to each other, or the sensors are located
a long distance from the data recorder, the gap must be bridged using these
special cables. All V-Net cables can be identified by their blue 5 pin
connector on each end. Do not attempt to use any other type of cable for this
purpose. Standard length cables are shown below. Custom lengths can be made on
special order.

Tee Connector Module
All V-Net data recorders are
shipped with a 9” long cable-type Tee module (center item in photo at left).
The purpose of the Tee Connector Module is to provide a means of either
splitting the V-Net into two separate branches, or to facilitate a position for
one of the terminator caps. Replacement Tee Connector Modules are available by
ordering the part number shown below.

Terminator Caps
Terminator caps are a necessary
part of the V-Net system. The longest leg of the V-Net cable, as well as the
other leg branching off from the Tee module, must end with a terminator cap for
the system to function properly. All V-Net recorders are shipped with one male
and one female terminator cap. In order to avoid confusion with dust caps used
with Interface modules, these 5 pin terminator caps are color coded blue just
like all other components that connect to the V-Net system.
