Thanks for the info Tim!

I was about to buy a GoPro because I wasn't having any news regarding that camera package. So I'll buy one for Watkins Glen in June with PCA and I'll wait for you guys to give the rest of the package.

Will it be power on/off, start/stop recording in sync with the IQ3?

Thanks again

Charles

Yes, you can program the start record trigger module to utilize the same channel (and channel value) which starts recording for the data logger, which will make the sync process very easy.

Thanks,
Tim

Tim, is it as easy as buying one and calling you guys about how to link it up to my IQ3? Can it activate 2 cameras?
thanks
Christian

Tim,
I'm very interested in this, also. If I'm understanding it correctly, since the camera would power on when the GPS sensor determines motion at "25 mph", then when we're synchronizing the camera with the data, we would just have to look for when the data says "25 mph" and that would be the frame that the camera should align with - correct?

I know that I asked this before, but since the trigger is coming via VNET, why can't the video just be an additional channel that the data logger records - like any other data from a sensor that comes in via VNET? - I realize that greater storage would be required but it doesn't seem to me that there would be any difference in the data feed.
This would eliminate the need for synchronizing the video altogether since it would just be another data channel.

And of course, how is the testing coming?

Thanks

We are testing the module again this weekend. The module can be programmed to start recording using any data channel and value...of course to sync the camera start record with the data logger start record, you would use the same data channel and value used by the data logger.

In terms of recording the video, the video stream is different than the data stream coming from sensors, so it would not be possible to record the video using the Vnet input.

Thanks

Tim

Thanks for the quick reply, Tim.

I look forward to hearing how the testing goes.
