Have the iq3 ruuning in a 96 miata with an 2005 corvette engine. You recommendeda while back to use an msd gator cip that goes on the power wire od cylinder 1. I find this very tempermental and now can get any tach signal. What other ways are to get the tack signal? I am using and em40 pcm from a gto. Help thans. Is there no way to run directly form the pcm?

For the most part, factory ECU's do not provide the correct square wave tach signal needed by the Racepak product. If you find the GMR was providing erratic data, try moving it to one of the injector wires and see if that works better. If you do not get any tach signal either on the coil or injector, the GMR could be faulty at that point.

Thanks
Tim
