Hello, I have been unable to get the Sportsman software to record a tach signal during a run and I'm thinking I do not have it selected properly. Here is my ignition setup;

VW drag bug
MSD Digital 6AL with digital 2 step
Bosch 009 distributor with Comp-U-Fire electronic points replacement

Tach feed is connected to the tach output of the 6AL where it connects with the 2 step tach input wire

In the Sportsman software I have the tach defined as a MSD ignition system.

Is this correct or should the Sportsman software tach be defined as something else?

Thanks for any info you can provide.
Tom

Sir,

You would want to hook the tach wire from the sportsman to the tach output from the digital 6. as for the programming in the sportsman ignition type sounds right but make sure for pulses per rev you have it set to 2 pulses not 4. Hope this helps.

Ok, thanks. Sounds like it's hooked up correctly. I'll check out the revs config.
