Okay, I received my USB to 9 pin to Serial cable today, and am trying to access the A/F readings now.
First, I installed the cable with my computer, with Datalink II v. 3.60 running. It apparently installed correctly, and told me it was on Com Port 8 Yes, there should be a Channel Button (the rectangular box with the text AF1) in the data logger configuration file. Lets go back a double check a couple of things.
After installing and connecting the air fuel sensor, did you power up the sensor heater and data logger [Yes], then connect your PC to the data logger with the Racepak serial programming cable [Yes] and "update" the data logger configuration file with the new sensor? [This last part didn't work.]
This would be accomplished by opening the config file for the data logger, into the DatalinkII software, and with the PC connected to the data logger and the AF heater & data logger powered up, select Edit / Read Vnet Config from the main menu of the DatalinkII software. [color=#BF0000][I could select Edit, but Read Vnet Config was greyed out and not selectabl. Indeed, all of the "Edit" choices were greyed and not selectable, not just the "Read Vnet Config".]. [/color]This action will add the AF sensor to your software.
At that time, you should then be able to view the AF data, download into the PC and graph the data, along with GPS Speed, g meters, etc.>>
I read all the Help topics that appeared applicable, including changing the Com Port to 1, as suggested, then logging off and back on and repeating the process. Then I repeated the process on Com Port 2. then I tried again on Com Port 8. None of those gave me a selectable "Read VNet Config" under the Edit tab.
Then I disconnected the cable from my computer, and exited Datalink software to save the configuration of the cable.
Then I turned on the AF sensor and Racepak and heated up the sensor.
Then I did the following:
