Saw the video about the OBDII interface. Is this what I have been wanting for our C5 to pull data? We already have the USM..........

Natha told me you guys spoke at SEMA..........she came back from that event with all kinds of ideas.........!!!

Hi Steve,

We are getting closer to a release date on the OBDII interface. We did debut it at the SEMA show.

Keep an eye on our website for updates...

Thanks,

Tim

I see the update on the page but don't see a price anywhere...............available now?

Also, do you still offer the 620-kt-stbb kit? I didn't see it on the price list. I want to be able to tell Natha when she flinches in the car........LOL!!!

Steve

We are expecting to complete the first run of OBD2 modules within the next couple of weeks, if all goes as expected. I will let everyone know via posting and email blasts when we have it ready to go. We are working on a hardware update for the STBB package...should have updates online sometime in March.

Thanks
Tim

So if I hook this up through my USM to the G2X (not Pro).........do I disconnect the existing power lead to the G2X?

The way I am reading things, if I have this hooked up all the time, it will power up the datalogger as soon as our master power switch is turned on...........

If this is true, can it be disabled?

Thanks Tim!!

BTW........always willing to be your test mule for this stuff!! GRIN!!....

Yes, the OBD2 module will power up the entire system, when connected...it connects the the VNet cable in the same method as other sensors..with a Vnet T cable. There are discussions on the always power on status..and how best to manage that..more to come as we get closer to release...of course with a master kill..that kills all the power in the vehicle which is one method.

You would disconnect your power/ground currently utilized by the G2X Pro logger.

Thanks
Tim

We have the logger on a dash switch along with a seperate one for the O2 sensor. This is so we can warm it up prior to turning on the logger........

Pin #16 is battery power and pin #4 is ground on the OBDII connector. You should be able to move your switch to pin #16 (or the ground side) before the connector or another way is to find which fuse on your car powers this pin and go from there.
