Can the logger be mounted off to the inside front passenger floor area near the fire wall?
Will the G force readings be way out because the logger is not close to the centre of gravity of the car?

Mounting the recorder on the left side is no problem. For door cars we usually recommend mounting it in front of the pass side wheel tub on the cross bar that runs across the car. I would try to put it here but if you have to the floor will work too. The only problem with the floor is all of the vibration and can cause the g meter to get false readings or spikes from time to time depending on the car.
