Hi Tim,

I already wrote you an e-mail about this this week but you probaly didn't receive it. We received the G2X PRO pulling kit and it looks realy good but after studying everything I got a question.

In the quote you told me that we need 4 magnets on each wheel. But the instructions with the magnets say that we have to make 5 magnets @ 72 degree's on each wheel.

What would be the correct amount of magnets for our system?

Thanks,

Frank,

The new puller data logger package contains 12 total magnets. 5 for each wheel and two for a driveshaft or your preferred location for obtaining driveshaft or output shaft rpm.

The reality is you could use most any number of magnets, depending upon the diameter of the circle in which they are mounted. We settled on 5 per wheel for the new puller packages. To the data logger, all that really matters is the number of pulses per revolution are correctly set in the software. Since this is a puller package for the G2X Pro, that number should already be programmed at the factory. To double check, just right click over the Wheel RPM channel button in the config file and locate the Pulse Per Revolution setting in the left lower side of the screen.

If you have any more questions, please let us know.

Thanks,
Tim
