Sonny,

We have these systems on a number of sleds, without reception problems. What we need to do is first take a look at exactly what is happening.
1. Does the IQ3 acquire satellites when sitting without the motor running?
2. If yes, does the unit lose reception when you start the motor?
3. If the unit acquires satellites while idling, does it lose reception when the motor is revved or when you start moving?

Lets get answers to the above, as that will tell us where to look. If the antenna is actually mounted on the dash, it will not pick up satellites (just as a note)

Thanks
Tim

Ok...had IQ3 on my brain, for some reason.

Yes, once we determine exactly when the GPS signal is acquired / lost, it should be pretty easy to troubleshoot.

If you are using engine rpm to start recording, then the data logger will still record engine rpm, accel g, lateral g and battery voltage.

Lets us know what you find out about the GPS.

Thanks,
Tim

Sonny,

By chance, do you have the programming cable plugged into the G2X?

Thanks
Tim
