I have a 5-6 yr old v300 race pak. have a few questions for you.
#1 i have front shock sensors monitored through the v300 and rear shock sensors that i use through the digital koni box. do you sell or can make a y harness that i can purchase along with the rear modules from you that the shock sensors can share the info with the koni box as well as the v300?
#2 Im interested in the 220 vm af1 can i buy 2 of those and monitor both sides of the motor? is this just plug in and play or extra wiring to power up? why is the 2 channel box so much more money?
#3 is there any way to monitor total timing/retard for this box?
#4 is there any advantage or cost to upgrade the software of my v300 to latest version?
Im friends with jason bean on steve spiess prostock team and he has a udx dash like me and his when he pulls it up on the laptop looks like dash in the car--mine does not what do i have to do for this to be upgraded?
also bought a data cartridge downloader box and can not get it to work nor can jason. Can i send it in and have it checked out?
Lastly, can this be done on a v300 non sd?????
Applicable with V300SD data recorder only
Required parts: 3-pin Molex mating connector Racepak part number 800-CN-MOL3 (Sold separately)
Typically when using an automatic transmission, the yellow cable in the main harness is not used. After performing the following instructions, the data system will be able to monitor the trans-brake signal (on/off). This is used as an event marker which allows the user to “zero” the data graph consistently as well as collect vehicle reaction data when compared to other recorded data.
In order to utilize this feature, Digital Input #3 sensor must be set to Ground Trigger Event in the software. At this point, the data system will be looking for a ground signal. When connected to the normally open 12 volt wire on the trans-brake solenoid, the system will receive a ground signal (sensed through the un-energized coil of the trans-brake). When the solenoid is energized, therefore removing the ground signal from the wire, the graph will display the event. In most cases the yellow cable on the main harness will have been factory terminated with a 3-pin Molex type connector on the end of the yellow cable.
Using the purchased 3-pin Molex mating connector, terminate a wire and insert the wire in the center pin of the mating connector.
Plug the mating connector into the connector on the yellow cable and secure the cable and connector assembly.
