Im looking to get a in dash data logger for my outboard drag boat. Has anyone used the IQ3 in their Drag Boat? Id like Tach, Water Pressure, and GPS on the Dash, and the ability to playback ET's via laptop at 1000' and 1/4 mile. Do people use a switch from the gas pedal to initiate recording? Are there any Racepak dealers in my area? ( Fox Lake, IL) Id like to get one soon and dont really want to go the AIM route.....

We do have a number of data systems in drag boats. The base IQ3 will provide accel G, lateral G, engine rpm (with correct tach signal) battery voltage and GPS speed. From that point, you can add up to 32 external sensors, such as water pressure, etc. The IQ3 would not be capable of displaying the ET data.

You can utilize any valid data channel to start recording..such as what you indicated..throttle position.

If you can give our tech department a call, they can review all details along with potential dealers. 1-949-709-5555

Thanks,

Tim

Hi

Not with the IQ3. Technically none of our drag race style data recorders can record an actual ET. The IQ3 can record closed course (laptime) data using GPS.

Thanks
